Squarespace and Wix are two of the most popular website builders for small and medium businesses. Neither has a built-in store locator feature, but both make it easy to embed one. Here’s how to do it with Pinbly.

Adding a Store Locator to Squarespace

Squarespace supports custom code embeds on all Business and Commerce plans. Here’s the step-by-step process:

Step 1: Set Up Your Locator

Log into Pinbly, add your store locations, and customize the widget design. Make sure the colors and fonts match your Squarespace template for a seamless look.

Step 2: Get the Embed Code

Copy the embed code from your Pinbly dashboard. It’s a short JavaScript snippet that loads your locator.

Step 3: Add to Squarespace

In the Squarespace editor:

  1. Navigate to the page where you want the locator
  2. Click Add Section > Code (or add a Code Block within an existing section)
  3. Paste the Pinbly embed code
  4. Save and publish

The locator will render at full width within the code block. You can adjust the container width in the section settings if needed.

Adding a Store Locator to Wix

Wix uses its own embed system, but the process is just as straightforward.

Step 1: Prepare Your Locator

Same as Squarespace — set up your locations and style the widget in Pinbly.

Step 2: Add an HTML iFrame

In the Wix editor:

  1. Click Add (+) > Embed Code > Embed HTML
  2. A box will appear on your page — click “Enter Code”
  3. Select the “Code” tab and paste your Pinbly embed snippet
  4. Click “Update” and resize the embed box to fit your page layout

Step 3: Adjust the Height

By default, Wix embeds have a fixed height. Set it to at least 600px to give the locator enough space to display the map and results list comfortably. You can adjust this in the embed element’s properties.

Tips for Both Platforms

  • Mobile preview — Always check how the locator looks on mobile. Both Squarespace and Wix have mobile preview modes
  • Page title and meta — Name the page “Find a Store” or “Store Locator” and add a meta description for SEO
  • Navigation placement — Add the locator page to your main navigation or footer links
  • Loading speed — Pinbly’s embed is async, so it won’t slow down your page load on either platform

What About Webflow?

Webflow also supports HTML embeds. The process is nearly identical to Squarespace — add an Embed element to your page and paste the Pinbly code. Webflow gives you the most design flexibility, so you can create custom layouts around the locator widget.

No matter which platform you’re on, getting a store locator up and running takes less than 10 minutes with Pinbly. Start your free trial today.
